FERRIS CUSTOM WIRE & CABLES
Hamilton Ferris Co uses marine-grade tinned copper wire and terminals for superior corrosion resistance. Having invested in the proper tooling, we make professional quality cables including battery & inverter cables, alternator cables, switch / fuse cables & battery interconnect cables, with ease.
PRIMARY WIRE
Primary wire is single conductor wire that is perfect for new equipment connections, rewiring & upgrades, solar, wind and water-powered generator systems.
MULTI CONDUCTOR CABLE
Multi-Conductor jacketed wire is often used and best suited for Solar Panels, Wind and Water Generators, Monitor systems, etc.
AC CABLE
AC cable is a 3 conductor cable typically used for wiring in inverters, on board battery chargers, AC generators and for the general wiring of AC circuits and shore power connections on board.
The results of wiring a boat with bare copper wire can be devastating - Problems like poor, rot-prone connections and equipment breakdown, eventually lead to complete re-wiring. The only wire you should consider for marine applications is tinned copper wire. This wire provides a barrier against corrosion and corrosive environments. Do yourself a huge favor - Do the job once, by doing the job properly the first time around! Use tinned copper wire & cable and tinned copper lugs & terminals only.
Typical Applications:
- AC/DC marine circuits
- AC/DC remote home wiring
- Coastal homes
- Any corrosive environment
